Our Vision

We are a Christ-centred people reaching out into the community sharing God’s love.

Our worship celebrates God’s presence, aiming to inspire, nurture and
encourage all to grow in faith. In valuing our local and Church communities
we seek meaningful and practical ways to share our resources. We encourage
each person to contribute their gifts, time and energy to reach out in God’s love.

We seek to provide a hospitable and respectful environment for the Meningie
and Districts people to worship, celebrate and have fellowship with each
other and God: in partnership with the United Aboriginal and Islander
Christian Congress and Ngarrindjeri people.

Worship Services

Worship services are led by lay persons or visiting preachers. Visiting preachers both lay and ordained add new dimensions to our understanding and it is good to have people who are prepared to come and support us in our ministry. Children are provided with teaching material that follows the service and have an area within the church suitable for them to work in.

Worship 10.00am every Sunday in a welcoming environment.
Special Services over Easter period.

Shared morning tea follows service once a month, all welcome, there is always food to share.

In months where there are five Sundays the Uniting Church congregation shares a gathering with the Anglican, Catholic and Lutheran congregations in the town. Those who attend are there because they not only enjoy worshiping together, but they also see the value of the Christians in Meningie presenting a united front.

Your giving helps build the Church and makes a difference in the lives of others. The Uniting Church in South Australia is associated with a number of organisations who provide vital services and support, locally and Australia wide.
